Innovated the ophthalmic theories of "True Qi Circulation Achieving Perfect Clarity and Brightness" (homeostatic regulation of the eye), "Vessel Disease of the Pupil", "Sinew-Essence Imbalance" in myopia, and "Latent Pathogen" theory for internal and external ocular diseases, all of which guide clinical practice.
Specializes in the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of complex and difficult ophthalmic conditions.
Research Directions: Fundus diseases, glaucoma, optic neuropathy, corneal diseases, myopia prevention and control, and standardization research in ophthalmic diseases.
