汝昆教授现任山东省肿瘤医院病理检验中心主任，在山东医科大学、中国协和医科大学、纽约州立大学完成了本科、硕士、博士的教育，并在卡内基梅隆大学获得医学管理硕士。临床培训包括新英格兰医学中心的病理检验住院医生和宾夕法尼亚大学的血液病理专科医生。中美两国执业医师，科技部高端外国专家，擅长血液疾病的疑难病诊断，承担国家和省部级课题及人才项目17项；发表学术论文一百余篇；担任国家药监局人工智能医疗器械标准化专家组委员、中国临床流式联盟主任委员、中国老年医学会病理学分会副会长、中国抗癌协会肿瘤疫苗专委会副主任委员、山东省临床肿瘤学会病理专委会主委及分子诊断专委会主委、山东省医学会检验学分会副主委等。

Dr. Kun Ru is a US-Board certified pathologist with expertise in the areas of hematopathology and molecular pathology, as well as operation of reference labs. He attended medical school at Shandong Medical University in China, and obtained his PhD in cancer biology at State University of New York at Buffalo. After finishing his pathology residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology from Tufts-New England Medical Center and a hematopathology fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ru took a leadership position at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh as the director of hematopathology, and was awarded a Master of Medical Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University meanwhile.
His expertise has focused on the diagnosis of hematologic neoplasms, molecular analysis of various neoplastic and genetic disorders, application of flow cytometry in hematologic diseases, and artificial intelligence. In addition to his diagnostic skills, Dr. Ru also engages in an array of translational research and management endeavors and has received many awards recognizing his skills and contributions to improved patient care. After spending more than a decade in the United States, Dr. Ru returned to China in 2012. He currently holds the position of Chair and Professor in the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine at Shandong Cancer Hospital, and founded a reference lab, Sino-US diagnostics Inc, indicating another milestone in his career development. Dr. Ru is a member from various scientific committees and editor from peer reviewed journals, including China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), Chinese Federation of Clinical Flow Cytometry, Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), Chinese Society of Geriatric Pathology, etc.
