Prof. Hong Qi is a Second-grade Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor at the Department of Ophthalmology, Peking University Third Hospital. She serves on numerous academic committees, including the Blindness Prevention and Epidemiology Group of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society; the Ophthalmology Committee and its Cataract and Refractive Group of the China Medical Women’s Association; the Intelligent Ophthalmology Group of the Intelligent Medicine Committee, China Medical Education Association (Standing Committee Member); the Ocular Surface and Tear Disease Group of the Ophthalmology Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; the Ophthalmology Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care; the Vision and Hearing Health Industry Technology Branch of the China Association for Medical Devices Industry (Standing Director); TFOS China; the Asia Dry Eye Society and its China Chapter. She is also an Editorial Board Member of Ocul Surf, Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology, and other journals.

With 30 years of clinical and basic research in the anterior segment, her main interests include precise correction and visual quality assessment for high myopia and presbyopia, immunological features and neuroregulatory mechanisms of dry eye, innovative drugs and novel materials for ocular surface applications, and artificial intelligence in ocular imaging. She has published 137 papers in high-quality peer-reviewed journals such as NEJM, Adv Funct Mater, and Ocul Surf, holds 10 authorized patents, and has served as Editor-in-Chief or co-editor of 15 professional books including Dry Eye: Qi Hong’s Perspectives 2019. Prof. Qi has been Principal Investigator and review expert for five general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. She received the Teaching Excellence Award from Peking University Health Science Center in 2024 and the ARVO “Hot Topic” Paper Award in 2025.

专注眼前节临床及基础研究30年，主要研究方向：高度近视、老视的精准矫正与视觉质量评估；干眼的免疫学特征及神经调控机制；创新药物与新材料的眼表应用；人工智能眼部影像。在NEJM、Adv Funct Mater、Ocul Surf等高质量同行评议杂志上发表论文137篇。授权专利10项。主编/ 参编《干眼齐虹2019观点》等专业书籍15部。
