Doctor graduated from the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, under the supervision of Academician Wu Zeze. With over 30 years of experience in biomedical drug development, he developed China’s first plasmid gene drug to enter clinical trials. He began his journey in innovative ophthalmic drug development at Allergan.
He founded Suzhou Pulakang Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., focusing on the research and development of innovative ophthalmic drugs. Among the pipeline, a Class 1 new drug for the treatment of thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy has entered Phase III clinical trials, demonstrating excellent safety and efficacy. It successfully eliminates the clinical side effects including hearing impairment and hyperglycemia induced by existing related medications.
In addition, China’s first independently developed presbyopia eye drops have shown distinctive clinical therapeutic effects and are currently advancing into Phase II clinical trials.
