兼任中国中医药研究促进会眼科分会会长、中华中医药学会眼科分会副主委、中华中医药学会中医眼科协同创新共同体执行委员会副主席、国家卫健委基层卫生能力提升专家组委员、中国医师协会中西医结合分会眼科专业委员会副主任委员、中国中西医结合学会眼科分会常委、云南省中医药学会眼科分会主委、云南省中西医结合学会眼科专委会常务副主任委员、全国中医、中西医近视防控指南专家组成员。 
担任国家自然科学基金评审专家、国家科技进步奖评审专家。主持负责国家自然基金、省部级基金5项，主编、副主编、参编全国统编教材和著作5部，担任《中国中医眼科杂志》、《医学参考报》编委，获省部级科学技术进步一等奖1项、二等奖1项。

He concurrently serves as President of the Ophthalmology Branch of the China Association for the Promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research; Vice Chair of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the Collaborative Innovation Consortium for Traditional Chinese Ophthalmology under the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Member of the Expert Group on Enhancing Primary Healthcare Capabilities under the National Health Commission; Vice Chair of the Ophthalmology Professional Committee of the Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Standing Committee Member of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine; Chair of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Yunnan Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Executive Vice Chair of the Ophthalmology Professional Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Society of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine; and Member of the National Expert Group on Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Myopia in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine.
He serves as a review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He has led and been responsible for five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and provincial/ministerial-level funds. He has served as chief editor, co-editor, or contributor to five nationally standardized textbooks and monographs. He is a member of the editorial board for the *Chinese Journal of Traditional Chinese Ophthalmology* and the *Medical Reference News*. He has received one first-class and one second-class provincial/ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Award.
